It is located within the 150-acre Pinnacle Peak Park, operated by the City of Scottsdale Park District. Part of the Sonoran Desert, the park is home to a variety of native desert flora and fauna.

Pinnacle Peak Park features a moderate out-and-back trail with a total distance of 3.5 miles through the pristine Sonoran Desert environment. The highest point on the peak is 2,889 feet.
